Happy Valentain’s day, Happy Carnival, Happy Mardi Gras, Happy Shrove/Pancake Day or Laskiainen as we call it in Finnish. Whether all these celebrations refer to the beginning of Lent or something else, it doesn’t matter, we just think that it is great that people find ways and days to celebrate!
This season, in the midst of miserable weather even here at Costa del Sol, we need to find flashes of joy from something. Yes, it has been raining - a lot. The usually dry river, Rio Higuerón, is full of water and you can hear the roar of the rapids to our terraces.
On most seasons you can walk it to Frigiliana or Nerja with dry feet, but not now.
Even if we offer good, personalized umbrellas for our guests, it has been raining so much that you should have something fun to do also in the warmth of the apartments. We have a small library for readers, and you can also find great puzzles and games from there.
We also updated our televisions to the smart era, and you can now watch your favorite shows or movies from various streaming services or just mirror your tablet or smart phone on the TV. In Cañuelo Suite the TV is not smart, but it is bigger than in the other apartments and there are a Chrome Cast and a HDMI-cable attached to it to make it smarter.
We updated the sofa in Duquesa Suite to make your sofa time more pleasurable. If all this is not enough, you can go for a swim in our heated pool and relax in the pool lounge with new chair and sofa covers. We usually keep the pool around 24-25 degrees Celsius, but after a request from our guests, it is now turned up to be closer to 26-27 degrees. It may be too hot for exercising now, but it sure is fun for floating on our inflatable flamingo.
